GAME DESIGN

For a week, I took part in a game design workshop led by Natalia. As a group, with four first-year students (including me) and three second-year students, we imagined and designed a complete board game: concept, mechanics, visual design and prototype. We chose to create a game inspired by Backrooms, a labyrinthine, eerie universe derived from an Internet myth. The aim: to offer an immersive experience where each player tries to escape, while avoiding hostile entities and interacting with others.

The game works with random cards and tiles, making each game unique. I particularly appreciated the test phase, which enabled us to adjust the rules according to player feedback. This project gave me the opportunity to combine creativity, teamwork and strategy, while discovering the concrete basics of game design.
